After years of working on the other side of the admission desk, our founder Kristina Dooley, realized she wanted to work individually with students to help find the right school for them. A move to São Paulo, Brazil in 2008 kick-started her journey and Estrela Consulting was created. (And she quickly learned about Brazilian culture and traffic like above!)

Fast-forward to present day and Estrela has grown to include a team of Independent Educational Consultants and Essay Specialists offering a range of services to support families. Even as Estrela has grown, our individualized approach remains the same.

Remembering our roots...

We're sure you're also wondering why we chose “Estrela” Consulting as our name.  The answer is simple: we wanted to remember our founding roots.  The word “estrela” is Portuguese (the language of Brazil, the first home of Estrela) for the English word “star” and we believe each of our students deserves an opportunity to shine!
